3D Comb
3D Comb is designed for the “ECAL Digital Market” project. The idea of this project is to present digital manufacturing as an industrial production tool.
The shape of the 3D Comb is designed to highlighting the 3D printing technology which are not easily producible in an mass-production processes such as injection molding.
Elegant line structure of the teeth are contacting in two different point to make delicate aesthetic yet rigid structure. Also the 3D Comb can be printed with minimum amount of the support material which can be produced efficiently on the print bed.
ECAL Digital Market project has entered the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum.
